Watch The Theatrical Trailer For THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

 

     In the wee hours of the morning (at least, for us folks on Eastern Standard Time), Sony Pictures unveiled the theatrical trailer for Marc Webb's envisioning of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. While many fans have questioned the purpose of releasing yet another Spidey origin story only a few short years after Sam Raimi's iconic film hit theaters, upon watching this trailer, even the nay-sayers can't deny that Webb has something special here. This is a decidedly moodier Spider-Man than Raimi's, reflecting the age of comic book movies first ushered in by Chris Nolan's dark BATMAN BEGINS. Now the question is, will THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN simply be a reimagined companion to Raimi's films, or will it take the place of them as the definitive cinematic Spider-Man?
