Clive Owen Offered Villain Role In OLDBOY Remake

Spike Lee has turned to his INSIDE MAN star Clive Owen to play opposite Josh Brolin in OLDBOY, according to Twitch.
Colin Firth had initially been offered the part of the complex villain in the film but turned it down, and perhaps the project is better off for it. If the movie remains faithful to the original, the part would require a combination of "sophistication and menace," as Twitch puts it, two qualities that Owen should have no trouble with.
In more OLDBOY casting news, an offer for the female lead was sent out to Mia Wasikowska last week.
