The CW To Breathe Life Into DEADMAN Series

Deadman

In the wake of SMALLVILLE's end, the CW is developing a series based on the DC Comics character Deadman, according to Deadline.

SUPERNATURAL creator Eric Kripke will serve as writer and executive producer on the show, which focuses on the spirit of the murdered Boston Brand as he inhabits the bodies of living beings.

Basing a series around a lesser-known character, especially following the success of Superman-centric SMALLVILLE, does not sound like the soundest of ideas at this time, but for comic book fans, it should be interesting to see how such a character is treated when adapted to television.
