Frank Darabont Steps Down As WALKING DEAD Showrunner [UPDATE]

Just a few days after Frank Darabont was seen at San Diego Comic-Con promoting the second season of THE WALKING DEAD, Deadline has learned that he is stepping down from his duties as showrunner.
According to Deadline's sources, Darabont found it difficult to transition from feature work to television production. It is unclear at this time whether he will remain with the show in a different capacity, or plans to leave the series altogether.
UPDATE: Deadline reports that current WALKING DEAD executive producer Glen Mazzarra will take over for Darabont.
