E3 2011: Highlights From The Nintendo Press Conference

     It's day two of E3, and that means it's Nintendo's turn at a keynote. Let's see what they have in store for us this year.

  • In honor of the 25th anniversary of THE LEGEND OF ZELDA series, a ZELDA game will be available on every platform: LINK'S AWAKENING for eShop (by the end of the day), OCARINA OF TIME 3D (launching next weekend), FOUR SWORD for DSi (later this year), SKYWARD SWORD launching this holiday season
  • Several 3DS titles are shown: MARIO KART (holiday season), STAR FOX (September), SUPER MARIO (later this year), KID ICARUS UPRISING (later this year), LUIGI'S MANSION 2, ACE COMBAT, TETRIS, CAVE STORY 3D, RESIDENT EVIL: MERCS AND REVELATIONS, DRIVER: RENEGADE, PAC-MAN DIMENSIONS, TEKKEN 3D, SNAKE EATER 3D
  • Wii U controller is introduced; features a 6.2 inch touchscreen, directional pad, four face buttons, two thumbsticks, two triggers on the back, two shoulders on top of the device, built-in rumble, microphone, speakers, accelorometer, camera; controller can capture images and video and send them to the screen; can be used as a drawing pad; backward compatible with the original Wii
  • SUPER MARIO BROS. MII announced, brings the player's Mii into the game
  • LEGO CITY STORIES announced for Wii U. Looks like GRAND THEFT AUTO with Legos.
  • DARKSIDERS 2, TEKKEN, BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY, ASSASSIN'S CREED: REVELATIONS, GHOST RECON ONLINE, DIRT, ALIENS, COLONIAL MARINES, METRO: LAST LIGHT, NINJA GAIDEN 3: RAZOR'S EDGE coming to Wii U
