Darren Aronofsky To Direct HBO Pilot HOBGOBLIN

Darren Aronofsky has been tapped to direct the pilot of HBO's period drama HOBGOBLIN, Heat Vision reports.
Written by authors Michael Chabon and his wife, Ayelet Waldman, HOBGOBLIN posits that a group of con men and magicians use their skills to aid the war effort against Hitler in World War II.
Chabon and Waldman will co-write and executive produce. John Lesher and Adam Kassan of Le Grisbi Productions will also executive produce.
HOBGOBLIN is Aronofsky's first foray into television and his first filmed project since departing THE WOLVERINE.
