Loki Won't Be The Villain In THE AVENGERS

With the villain of MAN OF STEEL now revealed to be General Zod, we can now focus our attention on that of another comic book movie, although the story behind it is slightly more complicated.

The villain (or villains) of THE AVENGERS is (or are) unknown at this point. Back in 2010, there was speculation that the heroes would do battle with the Kree and Skrull alien races - a claim that Marvel "sort of" denied.

Recently, Mark Ruffalo came out and stated firmly that his character, the Hulk, would be one of the heroes of the film, not a villain bringing the rest of the team together.

Now, Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in THOR, has "hinted strongly that he is not slated to be making an appearance in The Avengers," according to The Daily Blam.

With Loki out of the picture, does this mean that the Skrulls and Kree are in?
