Henry:
What’s your take on Erik Bedard? He’s been having a nice spring.
The Fantasy Geek:
Bedard has never pitched 200 innings in a season, so I don’t trust him to stay healthy at all. That said, he’s not going until the end of drafts and for really cheap in most auctions, so there’s no harm in getting him at a low cost. There’s still some upside there.
Justin Occhionero:
I’m Canadian, so Erik Bedard has a special place in my heart, and I love seeing that he’s doing good this spring, but I cannot trust him for fantasy purposes this year. You don’t have to risk much to obtain him, however, I would much rather go for the Kyle Drabek, Derek Holland, Michael Pineda types in the wee hours of a draft or auction. Young, higher upside options. Bedard is just an injury waiting to happen.
