Is The iPhone Getting Bigger?

It seems as thought Apple will finally be moving the iPhone beyond the 3.5 inch format it has been stuck with for so long. Multiple Apple component suppliers have commented that the Next-Gen iPhone, most likely dropping in this years keynote, will be jumping into the 4+ inch market to compete with the success of Android based phones like the Nexus S, HTC EVO, and Samsung's Galaxy devices.
I'm sure consumers will be shocked to see how, or if, Apple transitions into this space. Are we going to see a thicker iPhone? Will we get a higher resolution Retina Display? Or will they switch technologies to something like AMOLED?
