Bill:
Who’s the biggest winner out of the flurry of recent trades? The biggest loser?
The Fantasy Geek:
Bill,
We still need to see how things shake out in a few situations, but I think most of the big names involved in trades this month retain their previous levels of value for the most part. Carmelo Anthony may lose some stats to Amare, but he’ll still get his. Deron Williams should elevate the play of everyone around him in Jersey. Mo Williams and Baron Davis shouldn’t fluctuate too much. I think the biggest winner is Chauncey Billups because he goes to an up-tempo offense with two big-time finishers. His point totals may dip a bit (though I doubt it) and his assists should spike. The situation to watch is in Denver. If Ty Lawson gets most of the run at PG, he’ll be the biggest winner. He’s the next big thing at point guard. Even if there’s a timeshare, Ray Felton has to be the biggest loser. He went from a solid spot in an outstanding system to a fraction of the minutes on a team with no clear identity.
