Badass Digest has the latest scoop on the sequel to J.J. Abrams' STAR TREK, and it is sure to please fans of the original series.
According to the site's source close to the production, Khan will not be the villain of the film, as most had expected. Rather, the script reaches all the way back to season one of the original series, when Gene Roddenberry was in charge:
It’s definitely a character that will make fans of TOS excited. Think along the lines of Harry Mudd or Trelane or Gary Mitchell or the Talosians or the Horta. Actually it’s one of those that I named.
Trekkies, start your speculating.
