Entertainment Weekly Reveals The DEATHLY HALLOWS Movie Split

It should be common knowledge now that the seventh Harry Potter book, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, is going to be released as two separate films. But Potter fans have been wondering for months just where in the story the first part will leave off. The wait is now over: the spoilery cover story of this week's Entertainment Weekly has the spoiler-laden scoop [if it wasn't clear enough already, SPOILER ALERT!]

"Part I will end at about Chapter 24 of the book, with Voldemort gaining possession of the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows that allow the bearer to conquer death."

If you haven't read the series or don't remember the seventh book that well, you should know that this takes place rather late in the book. It is likely, then, that Part II will focus mainly on the climactic Battle of Hogwarts - much to the delight of Potter fans, to be sure.

Part I is set for release on November 15. Part II will be in theaters July 15, 2011.
