Michael Bay has moved on from alien robots to alien abductions, according to Heat Vision.
Bay and Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form have sold an aliens-related pitch to Paramount, known only as CONFIDENTIAL ALIEN PROJECT.
Newcomer Bobby Glickert wrote a treatment and created a two-minute teaser, which attracted the attention of Platinum Dunes. The company is looking for another screenwriter to pen the script, but Glickert will stay on to direct.
Deadline says that the budget is a mere $12 million, which means that this will likely be a low-budget production in the vein of CLOVERFIELD and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
