Stephen King & Shooter Jennings Callobrate On New Record

The Hollywood Reporter is, er, reporting that Stephen King will be appearing on Shooter Jennings' next album with his band Hierophant. The record, called Black Ribbons, is slated to come out on March 2nd and will be a dark concept album looking at a possible bleak future if things keep heading the way Jennings saw them heading while driving around the country as the economic downturn hit last year.

For his part, King will be playing a radio host called Will o' The Wisp. He's getting shut down due to government interference and gives a long speech in his last hour on the air. Jennings wrote a draft of Wisp's dialogue and sent it to the best-selling offer. King rewrote it to some extent, recorded it and sent it back to Jennings.
