Almost every month a rumor springs up about Orlando getting a new professional sport's franchise ... this week it's baseball's turn in the rotation. The gentleman floating this idea is also running for political office, so I am sure both matters are completely unrelated!
A meeting this week could bring the city of Orlando one step closer to getting a professional baseball team.
Armando Gutierrez is the man behind the plan. He says there will be no tax dollars used to fund the baseball team, which is one of the many reasons he believe it will be a hit with local and state government residents.
The Milwaukee Brewers is one of the teams rumored to make the move, but the vice president of communications for the teams says quote: "That is ridiculous and the speculation is false."
