Kings of leon are set to take six months off.

The Tennessee band, who have been busy touring the world in support of last year's album 'Only By The Night', are set to take a break from the music industry.

"I'm going to sit on my couch and cry tears of joy sitting in my pants with a tub of chocolate chip cookie ice cream." Nathan Followill told Q Magazine. "Then it's onto the golf course, a bit of fishing and some camping in the wild." He added.

Despite the break, the drummer revealed that the band had begun writing material for their fifth album.

"We have ten songs already." he explained. "Two weeks ago we had a set-up in a dressing room in Vancouver and re-ran through them." He added.
