According to Deadline, MGM has hired Josh Zetumer to write the script for the studio's remake of the 1987 sci-fi film ROBOCOP.
While relatively unknown for now, Zetumer has been hard at work establishing himself in the industry. He wrote a script called INFILTRATOR, which is now set up at Warner Bros. as a potential star vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio; a fourth installment of THE BOURNE IDENTITY before Universal developed a spinoff; and drafts of DUNE when Peter Berg was going to direct it.
Zetumer will be working closely with director Jose Padilha, who helmed ELITE SQUAD, on ROBOCOP.
