According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Television is working to create a TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's award-winning comic book series, THE SANDMAN.

Warner Bros. is in the process of acquiring the television rights to the series from DC Entertainment, and is also in talks with several writer-producers. The top choice to adapt THE SANDMAN is, reportedly, Eric Kripke (SUPERNATURAL).

THE SANDMAN is a horror-fantasy series chronicling the Lord of Dreaming, who at the start of the first installment is being held prisoner by an occultist seeking immortality.
