BATMAN: Now With Twice The Dark Knight

Batmen

The New York Post broke a cool story today about DC's big plans for BATMAN. They involve not one, but two Batmen defending Gotham from the scourge of the city.

In the upcoming issues, titled BATMAN, INC., Bruce Wayne is building a Dark Knight franchise. Dick Grayson - formerly known as Robin - will don the cowl, and Wayne's son Damian will join the duo as Robin.

DC Comics publisher Dan DiDio said that Bruce Wayne is looking to create a "global influence" for the Dark Knight in BATMAN, INC.

"Bruce Wayne realizes that he can't just be the grim avenger he was before... He wants to be more aggressive in his reach, and realizes the change that Batman as a symbol can effect around the world."

To differentiate between the two Batmen, Dick's costume will have only the black bat symbol, while Wayne's will feature the traditional black-on-yellow logo.
