FANTASY BASEBALL: CARLOS Z SPARES DUGOUT; New Chat Time

l

Carlos Zambrano won for the Cubs today at Cincinnati, pitching 7 innings, giving up 6 hits, 2 walks and 3 earned runs, while striking out nine for a 4-3 win over the Reds. While it was a good line for Carlos Z, it wasn’t awesome. But anyone who owns him and sat through his Opening Day performance of 1 1/3 IP, 8 ER vs. the Braves will happily take today’s stats. Zambrano is continuing to come across as Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde.

"You better call this game in my favor, ump, or I'm gonna destroy that dugout!"

The Cinergy Field grounds crew in Cincy was  relieved, as Zambrano is known for taking his frustration out on the dugout and clubhouse in a big way when the pitching disappointments mount…thus, a good day for all.
