Malcolm McLaren, the former manager of punk group the Sex Pistols, has died in New York, aged 64, his agent has said.
McLaren, the ex-partner of designer Vivienne Westwood, was believed to have been diagnosed with cancer a while ago.

This is truly a sad day. Whether you liked the Sex Pistols or McLaren, the man was responsible for grabbing the British music establishment by the throat and shaking it out of it's malaise. I will update this post as more is known.
