Richard Fairgray's Videos to Make You Feel Good About Yourself: Courtney Love Edition

I'd like to start this post with a disclaimer. I know that making fun of Courtney Love and highlighting just what a train wreck she is is a very easy and sometimes lazy task. Everything she does can be mocked and ripped apart by even the least analytical or discerning among us. However I would like it to be known that for about 12 years now I have been a huge fan of Courtney Love, I have all her albums, I have bootlegs of concerts and even a poster of her on my wall from that brief period in the late 90s where she was classy and people were able to get photos of her while she was conscious. She is an amazing musician and I only seek to mock her life outside of the studio or the stage. I look forward to her new album that will be released...one day.
OK, with that out of the way, let's press on. The following is a video of Courtney from the MTV awards in 1995 where she hijacks Madonna's interview. Extra points can be given to Courtney for her poise and clear speech.
It's hard to choose a favourite part, maybe the fact that every time they cut in for a close up on Courtney she has the word DRUGS lit up by her face, maybe the bit where she throws the compact, maybe her trouble with the seat. It's all classy.
As I mentioned earlier, there was a point where Courtney wasn't like this, the late 90s showed us another side of her where she produced amazing music, hardly ever threw up on people and managed to keep custody of her child. Recent times haven't been so good. Kicked off Twitter, then back on Twitter, than fighting with her daughter on Twitter. Then there's this, Courtney's latest project, pretending she's still in a band (just like Billy Corgan does) and talking about a dress she made (or possibly didn't, her story changes).
So remember, no matter how bad you are feeling, you can always find someone on the internet to make you feel good about yourself.
