Here’s my take on the players fantasy owners are adding and dropping
the most. (Change in Ownership Percentages via CBS Sports leagues)
Nicholas Batum (up 18%) – He’s the
starting small forward in Portland, and in his last two games he has a
combined 52 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Andre Miller and
Brandon Roy look like they are taking his contribution
potential seriously…and it’s really cool when the PA announcer says his
name when he scores: “Baaaaa-tooooom!”
Jrue Holiday (up 9%) – Owners who grabbed this dude
aren’t jruing the decision because when he gets minutes, he produces.
There are lots of minutes to go around now that AI is gone for the
season.
Ronny Turiaf (up 9%) – Andris Biedrins (see
Cold Product) is out with an injury. Don Nelson
is glad, cause he hates Biedrins and loves Ronny. He
had to play Andris cause he earns a lot of money. Now that Turiaf
is starting and getting 28 minutes per, you can depend on 13 & 7
with some blocks thrown in.
Cold Product
Josh Howard (down 20%) – As I said
many times before, his season-ending injury was imminent and the torn
ACL has him being dropped like crazy. Wasn’t a terrible thing for the
Wizards, as they discovered the hidden value of Al Thornton.
Andris Biedrins (down 11%) – AB,
“C” you later! He’s out with a groin injury, conveniently cutting him
out of Don Nelson’s future rotation.
Martell Webster (down 10%) –
Batum’s gain is Webster’s loss, by definition. He’s playing about eight
minutes a game with the lineup change in Portland.
