Break Out The Grog - MONKEY ISLAND 2 Confirmed For Summer Release

My two biggest guilty pleasures, when it comes to gaming, is playing those blasted Dragon's Lair/Space Ace games, and the SCUMM emulator. If you have NO idea what SCUMM is... you probably won't care about this news, but I'm seriously coming close to having a heart attack right about now. For any fans out there that can't get enough of games like Full Throttle, The Dig, Sam & Max, Day Of The Tentacle or The Secret Of Monkey Island, I'm sure you'll be just as excited as I am that we are getting another remake of one of Guybrush Threepwood's classic adventures.
One of my favorite games of last year was Lucas Arts re-release of their classic point-and-click adventure THE SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND (Xbox360, PS3, PC). This was one of my most beloved games as a kid and the remake did it justice - adding a complete overhaul to the graphics, voice acting and musical score, while still keeping the key game play that made the game such a success on PC's over fifteen years ago.
This summer Lucas Arts has announced that we will once again get a chance of taking on LeChuck and his band of skeleton pirates in the second remake THE SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND 2: LeCHUCK'S REVENGE. No "official" release date was confirmed, but Lucas Arts did say that the Summer was definitely the time that the game would be hitting all platforms.
With a new score and added voice acting(which was always lacking in the original two entries in the series) we can look forward to once again scratching our noodles as we try and figure out all the wacky and crazy puzzles in the game, while enjoying a classic with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from current generation titles.
With the fact that the game is a downloadable title, you won't need to worry about a hefty price tag when it arrives.
I know what ship I'm boarding this summer. Now, where is my grog?!?!
