Dixie Carter confirms the contractual release of a former TNA Knockouts Champion

Dixie Carter posted a note on her Twitter page confirming Dot Net reports that Awesome Kong (a/k/a Kia Stevens) is no longer with the company. "Due to personal reasons, Kong asked for/was granted an early release from her contract," Carter wrote. "We support her during this time and hope she is back soon."
Powell's POV: I've reported for weeks at Prowrestling.net that Kong was on her way out of the company. It's now official via Dixie confirming the news. It's interesting that Carter left the door open by saying they hope she is back soon. The holdup on the release has been that the two sides were haggling over the length of the noncompete agreement.
