New trailers for a couple of high-profile projects have been recently unveiled! First is the trailer to the highly-anticipated new anime film DETECTIVE CONAN: THE LOST SHIP IN THE SKY. It is the 14th film of the franchise. The previous entry, DETECTIVE CONAN: THE RAVEN CHASER earned the franchise's box office record at 3.4 billion yen ($35 million), so there's high hopes for THE LOST SHIP IN THE SKY. Conan, a brilliant detective trapped inside a child's body will battle his rival Kid the Phantom Thief in the new film:
Next is the trailer to Madhouse's TRIGUN: BADLANDS RUMBLE film. All the key creators and players from the TV series are returning for the film:
Nagoya City Council Member Toshiyuki Ogawa proposed during last week's council meeting that a GUNDAM Museum be built in this central Japanese city. He also proposed that the city should host the 1/1-scale "life-size" GUNDAM statue that made headlines in Tokyo's Odaiba Island last summer.

The Manga Curmudgeon is reporting that North American publisher Fantagraphics will be releasing Moto Hagio's A DRUNKEN DREAM AND OTHER STORIES as part of a new manga line licensed from Japanese publisher Shogakukan. Moto Hagio is a pioneer modern manga and considered the "founding mother" of shojo manga. Although Hagio debuted in 1969
and has been popular in Japan ever since, only a handful of her works have been released in English. She remains one of the most beloved manga artists and is a member of the famed Year 24 Group.
According to Anime Nation News, FUNimation has announced its acquisition of digital, broadcast, and home video distribution
rights, and merchandise rights to the current BAKA TO TEST TO SGHKANJU and DANCE IN THE VAMPIRE BUND anime television series. VAMPIRE BUND is based on the supernatural manga by Nozomu Tamaki which tells the story of the emergence of vampires into the human world. BAKA is a series of Japanese light novels (fiction aimed at the Junior High to High school demographics) by Kenji Inoue with illustrations by Yui Haga. A manga adaptation by Mosuke Mattaku started serialization in SHONEN ACE since April 25, 2009. The anime series is 13 episodes.
Sentai Filmworks has released the trailer for the full collection of
the LIVING FOR THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW series that's being released on
April 13th, 2010. The anime series is based on the popular manga by J-ta Yamada and tells the story of a young girl who grows older into an adult, and an adult woman who becomes younger, turning into a child.
