Founding Megadeth Bassist Returns For Rust In Peace Tour

News has come down from the world of metal. Today Dave Mustaine announced that original Megadeth bass player Dave Ellefson is returning to the band after a seven year absence. Ellefson will be alongside Dave and the boys for the Rust In Peace 20th Anniversary Tour that kicks off March 1st in Spokane, WA. The band will be playing the entire Rust In Peace album, start to finish
The two had this to say:
"This shows the power of brotherly love and forgiveness,” Mustaine says. “David Ellefson belongs in Megadeth. Next we are going to show you the power of getting your asses kicked...HARD!"
David Ellefson concurs: "This is a huge moment for all of us, band and fans alike. It is a great celebration of the music from one of the biggest landmark albums of our career."
Mustaine went on to thank bassist James LoMenzo for his work the last seven years with Megadeth.
