New LCD Soundsystem Album Done; Release Date Unknown

LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy recently made public on his up-to-the-minute Twitter feed that the follow-up to 2007’s Sound Of
Silver is finally done.
News also came up on the band's website with a simple
post that read: “looks like we added another paris gig. oh, and something else. the
fucking record is done.”
This is all very exciting news for LCD fans, but even more exciting for Murphy himself who has
continually bitched and moan about the recording process.
Murphy was quoted as saying “How many times and in how many ways can one say 'I am still in the
studio 14 hours a day and it’s going great but i was hoping someone could jump
in a cab and run me over when I'm on the way to the deli.'”
James, please don’t let this happen.
Murphy has already delivered tracks to the amazing Bob Weston to
master. That being said, it's clearly unlikely that Weston will have the album mixed and ready to go by the previously announced March 2010 deadline. But any LCD is good LCD. Murphy has also been hard at work scoring the new Noah Baumbach film
Greenberg, and will launch on a smallish worldwide tour beginning on April 16th
at Coachella.
