Low-Fi Sci-Fi Meets Streetwear In IT WAS ON EARTH (NSFW)

I love lo-fi filmmaking. The influx of digital tools into the world of indie-film brings innovation from everywhere now. Case in point is this trailer from director Jean-Baptiste Laubier for his short film "It Was On Earth That I Knew Joy" There's a hint of nudity in the below, so I'll say this about as safe for work as an American Apparel catalogue.

A post apocalyptic story about the future looking back to the flaws of the present, it's haunting and remarkably innovative with its' low fidelity visuals, strong sound design and smart editing. What's really interesting is that it's financed by Sixpack France, a streetwear company.

The short and other works will appear in Los Angeles at the SCION gallery from Feb. 20 to March 13
