FANTASY HOOPS: Playin' Some Pick-Up

Here are TheFantasyGeek.com's takes on the players fantasy basketball owners are adding and dropping the most. (Change-In-Ownership Percentages via CBS Sports leagues)

Hot Commodities

Carlos Delfino (up 16%) – The Milwaukee shooting guard has seen big minutes in his past two ball games and he’s doing something with them. He went for 28/4/3 on Saturday and followed that up with a double-double on Monday. His brief run of success will be short-lived with Ridnour, Bell and now Stackhouse in the house.

Kris Humphries (up 12%) – Seems to be the flavor of the week in Jersey. The 5-year vet notched a career high with 21 points on Monday, after putting up 15 the game before. The Geek sees Humphries as a flash in the pan, so don’t get too excited here.

Steve Blake (up 10%) – His 18/4/6 line against the Magic had many owners scooping up the former Terp who just returned from injury. But it’s only temporary. Keep in mind, B-Roy was out and Andre Miller is getting more run these days. Now, if Miller is traded, Blake could regain his value as a decent source of assists.

Cold Product

Beno Udrih (down 13%) – It was fun while it lasted. Kevin Martin’s return has rendered Udrih “uselihs.”

Luther Head (down 13%) – Heady owners had Head heading out the door after an ankle injury. The Rockets guard was only added because of a big Week 10, but he’s done little before or since.

Nick Young (down 12%) – His minutes are all over the place (14, 37, 29, 21, 12, 23 and 2 in his past seven games). It’s just too hard to trust Young to give you quality production from night to night. Apparently, these days, it’s not “Forever Young” for fantasy owners. (Semi-obscure Alphaville reference, I know.)
