With Joe Sakic retired, Milan Hejduk has become the face of the
franchise. In order for the Avalanche to have any chance of making the
playoffs this season they will need their proven sniper back as soon as
possible. With only four points separating 3rd place Colorado and the
ninth seed Red Wings, losing a player like Hejduk could be costly for
the city of Denver.
