Golden Globes: DEXTER vs. Trinity... Feud of the Year

As much as I love Ricky Gervais and award shows, I must confess that I chose to watch 24 over the GOLDEN GLOBES.
I am not sure where Hollywood ranks the Golden Globes in the awards hierarchy, I always think of it as number 3 after The Oscars and The Emmys. The Globes are awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a body of
around 90 international journalists based in southern California, so there isn't that many people to impress, but frequently I find their choices are a lot closer to mine than the other two events.
As I never saw the show, I will leave it to one of my colleagues to produce a full report on the show and the results, but I do want to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for recognizing the epic performances of Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow as Dexter and The Trinity Killer. The pair of them combined to produce one of the television events of last year and created a feud for the ages. Two adversaries in a battle every bit as compelling as Holmes vs. Moriarty, Batman vs. The Joker, Luke vs. Darth, Dracula vs. Van Helsing, Hulk vs. Andre and Stewie vs. Lois.
Michael C. Hall won for best actor in a TV drama and John Lithgow won the
supporting actor award.
I am also very pleased to hear that Michael C. Hall is making a good recovery from his recent battle against cancer.
