FREE MUSIC: Late Night with The Roots

Most people were caught off guard when it was announced that the house band for Jimmy Fallon's takeover of NBC's Late Night show would be The Roots. The hip-hop group was still making acclaimed music, so taking a TV gig as a house band seemed like a step in an odd direction. Nevertheless, they have continued to play live shows and record new albums like the upcoming How I Got Over.
Given the fact that the roots have a fairly unique jazzy, eclectic sound, some of their collaborations on Fallon's show have been quite excellent. DJ Heat has collected 15 of his favorite tracks featuring heavy hitters such as Mos Def, Snoop, 50 Cent and Ghostface and released the album for free.
