When I was a kid, I remember catching the occasional "Fraggle Rock" episode at my buddy's house because he had HBO and I didn't. I was a tween so I thought the show was going to be geared more toward kids younger than me, but I enjoyed them all the same. I especially liked Junior Gorg because he was so goofy and I loved it when he'd say, "Fwaggle."
Fast forward to 2009 and I'm working at Archaia. News comes down that we've signed to do some books with The Jim Henson Company! And wouldn't you know it, a Fraggle Rock comic book series was put into motion. I can't begin to contain my excitement over what I've seen coming in so far from indie creators like Jeffrey Brown and Jeremy Love to newcomers like Jeff Stokely, who was discovered at last year's Long Beach Comic Con! Check out Jeff's cover to issue #1, with colors by Lizzy John:
The series debuts in April and I'm psyched for you guys to check it out. And to get you even more in the mood, here's a link to relive that catchy, opening theme song from the TV show:
Dance your cares away, worry for another day!
