Comic Convention Returning To Where The Stars At Night Are Big And Bright

After canceling the Wizard Convention in Dallas last year, Gareb Shamus announce that his company will hold Comic Con Austin starting in 2010.  Insert your own joke about his New York and Chicago show here.

Wizard Entertainment, which didn’t hold a Texas show in 2009, is returning to the Lone Star state in 2010.   The company, headed by Gareb Shamus, announced the Austin Comic Con 2010 Wizard World Convention, to be held at the Austin Convention Center from November 12-14, 2010.

“The fans have spoken and they want us back in Texas. We previously had a great experience here and are thrilled to be back,” said Shamus in a release.  “It’s a great city with a top-notch convention center and we’re really looking forward to seeing our fans at the type of pop-culture festival only we can bring.”

Wizard World Texas was held in the Arlington area from 2003-2008.   For some of those years, it was the largest annual show in the Oklahoma/Texas area, but it was always far smaller than Wizard’s Chicago show.
