CLINT MORRIS: Zelda Rubinstein Isn't Dying

Zeldaclint

Yesterday the internet was aflame with rumors that Poltergeist (and Teen Witch) actress Zelda Rubinstein was heading ‘towards the light’.

Radar Online ‘Exclusively’ reported that Rubinstein “has been taken off of life support following the failure of two of her major organs”. They added that "It's only a matter of time now” before the actress passes.

Some sites even reported that Rubinstein, whose recent credits include Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales and Scott Glosserman’s Leslie Vernon: Behind the Mask, had already died.

Oh, and none of it is true.

As a friend of Rubinstein’s, I can say with the utmost confidence that, though the 76 year-old-actress is in poor health, and as a consequence has been hospitalized for the past month, she’s not knocking on any doors – especially that of Death’s.

Rubinstein’s vitals are good, she has a strong will to live, and though she’s not exactly jumping around like KrisKross, she’s determined to stick around this planet for a little longer. Her peeps are furious with the Radar report – and with good reason.

Instead of writing up premature obits, how about the media use their energy to pray for Rubinstein’s speedy recovery?Just an idea!

We here at GeekWeek hope Rubinstein gets well soon.
