Promo Item Du Jour: DAYBREAKERS Drinkable Blood

DAYBREAKERS isn't the first movie to send out promo items that involve fake blood -- but it may be the first to provide a drinkable version that comes with instructions on microwaving it to 98.6 degrees, and proclaims itself to have "similar nutrients to real blood." The realism presumably ends, however, when it comes to the "Fangtastic fruit punch flavor."
Ingredients include whey protein, sucralose, ferrous sulfate (like real blood, a source of iron...I guess), and glycerol ester of wood rosin. Also caffeine and phenylalanine -- a key ingredient in Nutrasweet that also occurs naturally in the breast-milk of mammals (thanks, Wikipedia).
Real blood actually sounds more appetizing, come to think of it.
